The famous TV show Mythbusters may be off the air, but some of its cast members are coming back for a new Netflix program. Deadline reports that Netflix has ordered a show called White Rabbit Project, which is an unscripted original series starring Kari Byron, Tory Belleci, and Grant Imahara.

Byron, Belleci, and Imahara appeared on Mythbusters as the B-Team, of sorts, alongside stars Jamie Hyneman and Adam Savage. Beyond Productions, which was also behind the Emmy-nominated Mythbusters, returns to produce White Rabbit Project.

The show is scheduled to debut on Netflix on December 9 around the world.

"In the Netflix series, the three head down the rabbit hole to investigate weird and wonderful events from pop culture, science, and history," according to Deadline. "Under their microscope are topics as diverse as jailbreaks, superpower technology, heists, and crazy World War II weapons. In each episode the hosts immerse themselves in experiments, builds, and tests as they sleuth the truth behind these and other well-Googled themes."

In August 2014, Mythbusters made the controversial decision to drop Byron, Belleci, and Imahara. The final episode aired on January 9, 2016, though the program will live on in a way. Mythbusters is coming back to TV through a reality show to find replacements for Hyneman and Savage.

Netflix also recently announced a science-themed show starring Bill Nye.

In other news about Netflix original programming, the network announced today that its Pablo Escobar drama Narcos has been renewed. It's not much of a spoiler since it happened in real life, but Season 2, which debuted just days ago, ends with Escobar being killed. His death wasn't the end of the drug wars in Colombia, however.

Narcos Season 3 will debut on September 3, 2017. According to Entertainment Weekly, there will be a fourth season as well. With Escobar dead, Seasons 3 and 4 are likely to focus on the Cali Cartel and other groups. Executive producer Eric Newman told EW that the show is really about cocaine--so it's not strictly tied to Escobar and his life.

"I think that there's a lot of story left to be told in Colombia," he said. "This show has always been about cocaine. We purposely did not call the show Pablo Escobar or Medellin."
