King Kong will return to screens alongside a host of new movie monsters when Kong: Skull Island hits theaters next year. At last weekend's New York Comic-Con a new poster was released--and a closer examination has revealed a few secrets.

The poster itself is an aerial sot of the island itself, but as Scified have discovered, shining a light behind it reveals a series of secret messages. These include locations such as "Bone Yard" and "Florafauna Harvest Site", plus hints about the creatures that occupy the island, including "Adolescent Superspecies," "Hypervore," and "Apex Primate." There's also an image of a skull in there too. Check it out in the gallery below:

Kong: Skull Island stars Thor's Tom Hiddleston, Oscar-winner Brie Larson, Samuel L Jackson, and John Goodman, with Jordan Vogt-Roberts directing. A first teaser was revealed at San Diego Comic-Con in the summer--check it out here. A viral site allowing fans to explore the island is also online.

In December 2015, it was announced that the film would form part of an ongoing monster movie series. Following the success of 2014's Godzilla, producers Legendary have teamed up with Warner to create a "shared cinematic franchise," that will also include Godzilla 2 in 2018 and Godzilla Vs Kong in 2020.

Kong: Skull Island arrives on March 10, 2017.
