Kong: Skull Island's First Trailer Shows What Happens When You Invade The Gorilla King's Home
See how Kong became the King.
The first trailer for Kong: Skull Island has been released and shows a group of ill-fated people on a scientific expedition crash-landing on a mysterious island. Unfortunately for them, the island is the dominion of "a monster from a bygone era."
The trailer's official description describes Kong: Skull Island as "a thrilling and original new adventure that reveals the untold story of how Kong became King." Although we don't get a long look at King Kong, what we do see certainly looks thrilling. Check it out for yourself, embedded above.
And here are some screens if you can't watch the video:
Kong: Skull Island stars Thor's Tom Hiddleston, Oscar-winner Brie Larson, Samuel L Jackson, and John Goodman, with Jordan Vogt-Roberts directing.
In December 2015, it was announced that the film would form part of an ongoing monster movie series. Following the success of 2014's Godzilla, producers Legendary have teamed up with Warner to create a "shared cinematic franchise," that will also include Godzilla 2 in 2018 and Godzilla Vs Kong in 2020.
Kong: Skull Island arrives in cinemas on March 10, 2017.
