Star Wars Battlefront isn't scheduled to officially launch until November 17, but some Xbox One owners can start playing the game right now. The download is 19.51 GB. This is the full version of Battlefront, but note that it is playable only for 10 hours. All progress, however, will carry forward to the full game should you decide to buy it after the time is up.

EA Access memberships are available for $5/month or $30/year. In addition to early play for upcoming games, members have access to a continually growing library of free games and can save 10 percent on all EA digital content. There is no word yet if EA Access will come to PlayStation 4.

Alternatively, Walmart stores across the United States are holding "Epic Weekend" events November 13-15, during which shoppers can play Battlefront ahead of launch.

Battlefront launches on November 17 for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. In part due to the positive response to the game's multiplayer beta, EA recently raised its initial shipment projections for the game from 9-10 million to 13 million. The game aims to not only appeal to fans of the shooter genre, but also lapsed gamers and younger players. A lot of DLC is coming post-launch, including "new universes," weapons, and more.
