Daybreak Games (formerly Sony Online Entertainment) will make an announcement about the PlayStation 4 version of its popular PC zombie game H1Z1 "soon," according to producer Chris Wynn.

Wynn, who formerly worked at BioWare on Mass Effect Andromeda, announced today that he had joined Daybreak. One of his first tweets as a Daybreak employee was about the PS4 version of H1Z1.

The PC edition of H1Z1 was released through Steam Early Access a year ago this month. It remains in that unfinished state, but that hasn't kept people away, as the game has sold more than 1 million copies.

H1Z1's PS4 edition was announced in summer 2014, but no release date has been announced yet.

After Sony Online Entertainment morphed into an independent company called Daybreak, the developer suggested it might bring its previously PC/PlayStation-exclusive games to Xbox platforms. Earlier this month, Daybreak announced an Xbox One version of DC Universe Online, though there is no word yet on if H1Z1 will also come to Microsoft's console.

We'll bring you more H1Z1 news as it's announced.
