Go Behind The Scenes Of The Crazy Pac-Man Super Bowl Ad

Following the official reveal of the 90-second Pac-Man Bud Light Super Bowl commercial late last week, the beer company has now published a behind-the-scenes video showing off how it created the massive maze and all the technology and intricacies behind it.

The story dates back a few weeks, when people in Los Angeles discovered that someone was building a huge Pac-Man maze in the middle of the city. Bud Light later confirmed the structure was for an "Up For Whatever" Super Bowl ad, and that it was working with Pac-Man rights-holder Bandai Namco Games on the project.

Watch the video above to see how the life-sized maze came to life. Among other things, we find out that the ghosts are really just people wearing rollerblades. The creators also maintain that the man running through the maze is not a paid actor, so they had to go to great lengths to capture his reactions with dozens of cameras.

Bud Light also worked with Lady Gaga producer DJ White Shadow for the commercial, as well as UFC announcer Bruce Buffer.

The commercial, titled "Coin," is one of three ads that Bud Light owner Anheuser Busch will air during the big game. The other two will focus on the company's marquee beer, Budweiser, and feature the company's famous Clydesdale horses and a dog.

The New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks will square off in Super Bowl XLIX on Sunday, February 1 in Glendale, Arizona. According to a recent Madden simulation, the Patriots will defeat the Seahawks 28-24 on the final drive of the game.
