Fugitive Hunter signed by Encore

Encore has today announced that it has signed an exclusive agreement with Black Ops Entertainment to publish Fugitive Hunter: War on Terror in North America. The game will combine first-person shooter gameplay with third-person hand-to-hand combat, and will see players hunting down criminals and terrorists including Osama bin Laden.

"In today's world, we have to deal with the daily threat of global and domestic terrorism," said Michael Bell, CEO of Encore. "For most people, there is no real way to release some of the frustration and anger they feel toward the direct source of this terror. Fugitive Hunter: War on Terror allows them to take out some of this frustration and feel a sense of satisfaction by bringing fugitives to justice."

In Fugitive Hunter players will assume the role of a former Navy Seal turned fugitive recovery agent named Jake Seaver. The game will feature 19 globe-spanning missions in total and, by the time they reach the end of the game, players will have pursued and captured 11 criminals including bank robbers, drug cartel leaders, and terrorists.

"Encore is the perfect publishing partner for Black Ops, not only because of their ability to take on a potential blockbuster title like Fugitive Hunter, but also because of their enthusiasm for this game that we have spent years developing," said John Botti, president and CEO of Black Ops. "Fugitive Hunter combines my personal experiences of living in a crime-ridden ghetto with actual research data from the FBI, the US Marine Corps, and the Santa Monica Police Department."
