Interplay announced that Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox has gone gold. The game's release date has been the subject of some confusion since Interplay terminated its distribution agreement with VU Games in September, and, although an early 2004 release was muted only last week, today's announcement states that it will be in stores in time for Thanksgiving.

Fallout: Brotherhood of Steel is set in the same postapocalyptic world seen in the Fallout games for the PC. Players battle with raiders and radioactive mutants as they join a brotherhood dedicated to restoring order to the world. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
