The package, which includes the game in a special steelbook case, a replica of the Pip-Boy that can be used with iPhones, a pocket guide, and capsule case, is available exclusively at UK retailer GAME for £99.
Ebay listings, however, have it for between range between £140 and £450, with an average price of around £250. At its very highest, Ebay prices represent a 300 percent mark-up.
The Pip-Boy Edition of Fallout 4 has been embroiled in controversy in the lead up to launch. Retailer GAME, which is the sole seller of the game in the UK, alerted customers on November 6--just three days before the game's launch--that their Pip-Boy Edition pre-orders had been cancelled.
Amid a backlash from disappointed fans, the retailer has since said PayPal and bank issues affected a "small number of customers," resulting in the cancellations, and committed to replacing the orders.
"While processing these orders, a small number of customers have experienced problems that have been caused by their bank or PayPal accounts not allowing payment to go through. For security and privacy, they do not share with us why payment has failed," said a spokesperson.
"We would like to reassure all customers that have pre-ordered that their order is still reserved and being held for them. Stock will be secured in our distribution centre until we are able to ensure payment and delivery. This stock will not be released for general sale. We will contact all customers via email within the next 48 hours with an order status."
It added: "Rest assured, your Fallout 4 Pip-Boy edition is safe."
It is unclear as of yet if these customers will receive their orders in time for release, or if there will be a delay.
