Assassin's Creed III DLC dated

Three-part Tyranny of King Washington begins February 19, with subsequent launches in March and April; not coming to Wii U right away.

Ubisoft today announced release dates for the three-part Tyranny of King Washington downloadable expansion, which posits an alternate universe in which George Washington succumbs to the allure of power and crowns himself king.

The previously announced first episode--The Infamy--will launch February 19. Notably, this comes just one day after Presidents Day in the United States, which is a federal holiday and honors George Washington.

The second chapter, The Betrayal, will arrive March 19, while the concluding episode, The Redemption, will be available April 23. All expansions will debut on the above-listed dates for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. The content is planned for the Wii U, though release dates for that platform were not announced.

All episodes of the Tyranny of King Washington are available through the Assassin's Creed III Season Pass, available now for $30. Individual chapters will also be made available for separate purchase at $10 each.

Ubisoft also announced today a new partnership with McFarlane Toys that will see the toy maker create a line of action figures based on the series.

Series 1 will include seven figures, including Connor and Haytham Kenway. The toys measure about six inches tall and feature 25 points of articulation. They also come with a code that unlocks "exclusive" Assassin's Creed game content.

The Assassin's Creed action figures will retail for $15 to $17 and will be available this summer at retailers in the United States, Canada, South America, Australia, Mexico, and New Zealand.

No action figures for Europe!? Hmm, that's a shame. Well at least I still have Ebay.

oh well we might not be able to get it right away (i own AC3 on Wii U) but at least it's coming for us Wii U owners

on a personal note i'm not really that interested in the story that they are doing with this dlc i think they should have made a dlc epilogue where we find out how it's all going to happen after that ending

Season passes usually include a discount, or at least some other form of rewarding people that pay up front. Just a thought....

3 DLC's for $10 each? Ya, thanks but no thanks. Judging by the close release dates it seems they already have most everything finished up already and are only releasing it in 3 parts to milk it for all its got.

Things like this just make me happier for companies who don't try and treat their consumers like crap.

Not really worried about the Wii U edition, not until DL's get a bit faster at least.

This game doesn't get enough love. Yeah the ending was horrible and made absolutely no sense, even compared to an ending like ME3, but Connor's story was amazing, and the gameplay was really good. It doesn't make sense that the season pass is not a discount, because then there is no reason to have it. And I want to say this looks good, but 30 bucks for a one story line that will almost undoubtedly have a bunch of filler missions? Same problem as post ending ME3 expansions. It could be good, but it's just packaged so poorly...

so you're telling me this DLC is worth half the game's price? please UBI, tell me more.

I'll probably get all three episodes once the last one releases in April.

I could care less.  This was by far the worst game in the series.  It had a convoluted story, a lot of busy work, horrible bugs even after the updates, and after you suffer through the game the ending sucks.  Most disappointing fame of 2012.

What a waste of money, why arent they releasing all the packs in 1 hit? Why seperate months away? Us gamers arent geeks to just stick to playing AC games non stop, there are other games that will be released and are fun to play why on earth will we stick to this game still after completing it? Poor marketing. So much money for a non cannon DLC and itll probably be bad as the Arnold missions they were a joke. I doubt Ill get this because I have lost interest in this game already. IFFFFF I get these packs Ill buy them several months away when they are all bundled together, why would I buy for each episode only to wait several months before I find out how it ends. Stupid marketing by Ubi a real joke just dumb. As bad as the ace combat DLC packs by namco

I guess it's better to buy the Season pass for anyone that wants this, at least they get all the multiplayer downloads.. That seems like a lot of money though, it better last awhile for the price of a full expansion. I'll wait for reviews

I guess I'm the only one who likes ac3, but dlc is overpriced IMO.

Do people actually buy this DLC or still play AC3?  AC3 had the most boring story and game play out of the entire series.  It was worse than the original AC.

I beat it once and don't ever see myself going back to it.

yeah...pass for me...I barely made it through the story mode...it never held my interest...won't be sinking good money after bad into this...if I can help it ;)

@FallenOneX I think the season pass is also good for any of the multiplayer content so that would be the discount. But at $30 bucks I'll certainly be waiting for the reviews. I'm thinking that all of this DLC will not equate to half of the story and mission content in the game as shipped.

@BuBsay If they release it all at once it is just DLC while staggering it makes it a 'season'. Another $10 every other month will likely be more palatable to many than a single $30 drop.

@FallenOneX are they really that slow because my Wii U downloads a hell of a lot faster than my PS3

@Legolas_KatarnThis is exactly what they want you to do because they're trying to milk you for all this game is (supposedly) worth. Classic EA maneuvers. Most of what we see as DLC's could easily be in the game itself. DLC's in general are starting to get real silly, real fast.

@queuing_for_PS4 Most DLC is just boring. By the time it's released, the game is played out and it's just pointless. A good example of this is the Borderlands 2 DLC. I was already capped, and the new loot wasn't much better than when I had, so it's all so boring.

Good DLC, for example, was RDR: Undead Nightmare, which completely changed the game and made it fresh.

@Fizzman I will admit that I bought the season pass for the DLC. I do agree with you though that the story was rather boring. I have yet to finish the main story line and hope to do so before the DLC is officially released. I guess I am just hoping that this DLC is redeeming in some way.

@Frimmel @BuBsay You see, this guy understands business strategy. Everybody keeps thinking that companies are out to milk the consumers, but really they are giving you an option to buy the DLC separately, rather than forcing you to buy all in one go.

@tommygun6644 @queuing_for_PS4 disagree. borderlands 2 (the first two at least) were excellent because the missions and raid bosses were fun to do. and although not all the weapons were excellent, there were 3-4 dlc items that totally changed gameplay, especially with the Zero character.

@tommygun6644 Agreed.  Rockstar seems to be the only company that knows how to do DLC right.
