What was I playing? It's almost unplayable!

Alien Nation is a game created by JoWood, hardly known considering they make games like Industry Gaint and Traffic Gaint during the mid 90s. This game opens up to the whole possibly of colonizing a planet by building cities, using one of the three zany alien forces using the most modernizatisc buildings.

It's unfortunate that the gameplay doesn't really live up with annoying objectives and confusing interfaces and the art direction almost breaks the game making it's more confusing then it should be.

If false alarms are your thing, this game has it all. You'll be bombardard with cities issues such as hunger, crime and war however it isn't really engaging. Hunger doesn't really kill any of your units, it's just there to annoy you to simply achieve an objective of gathering as much food.

While the game does allow you to produce units, build structures, gather for food and expand your cities thus completing your objectives, you'll end up fighting alot more issues then the simple mechanics of the game

Just as you thought you learnt it all, you'll be taught more about the bugs on the game interface itself as you've been trying to find out what buttons does what. Even when you try to select your cities unit or building, you have no idea what your units are doing to contribute to your workforce, sometimes wasting your efforts alot more then they should be.

All the buildings almost look the same. Schools, Police departments and Labs don't look as districtive as they should. You'll be pleased to know that plants and resources looks like something but the game doesn't really mix well enough to be worth playing.

The game has good ideas but the gameplay and lack of clearly graphics and design on objects makes the game confusing, annoying and a hinderance to complete.

This title is worth being bury!
