This game is the best baseball game I have ever played on any platform ever. I really enjoy the gameplay in this game, the game tracks players statistics and there are awards to win as well as All-Star Game voting. The stadiums are the best modeled I have ever seen from the JumboTron to every single aisle of seats. A very awesome feature in this game has got to be the 700 different player faces, 130 different batting stances, and 50 signature pitching deliveries. The audio is also one of the most impressive things about this game. You can hear people talking to one another or laughing between innings, and when there is that big home run or big diving catch the action gets intense the stadium comes alive. The announcers used for the game tend to repeat themselves fairly often, but I play the game for its gameplay.
For the first baseball game for the GameCube All-Star Baseball 2002 features a good amount of gameplay modes and an impressive amount of on-field control.
