Would've been more appropriately titled "Aliens", as the plot only follows the second film. For fans of Alien & D

User Rating: 8.7 | Alien Trilogy (Platinum) PS
Alien Trilogy is the first console game based upon the series to utilize a first person view.

Memorable film elements such as the aliens' acidic blood, and the automatic weapon combined with the grenade launcher given to Ripley in the second film are detailed accurately. Xenomorphs, the alien species who fertilize human subjects to continue the reproductive cycle, commonly referred to as "face huggers", are also included.

However, Playstation owners that have played the Diehard Trilogy game should expect a videogame that carries the word "trilogy" to actually pay homage to the entire respective series.

In this game, the final boss is deriven from the second film, as well as the few cutscenes meaning its title is a bit misleading, since the entire game is based solely upon the second movie, Aliens.

Most of the game's difficulty resonates from the dark, maze-like environments.
If you thought Doom was a bit confusing to navigate, you certainly won't have an easy time here.

Upon completing a level, there is both a save and password system, which ensure that you won't be required to use the precious space on a Playstation memory card (and trust me, the unofficially-supported Mega Memory Cards are extremely glitchy, so I personally recommend the 15-block original)

If you enjoyed Doom or other first-person shooters, and have seen at least the second Alien film, you should find it to be one of the best Alien-based games, alongside Alien vs Predator.
