Don't understand the mediocre score...

I thought this game was amazing. It looks fantastic, the score and audio are amazing. The gameplay was pretty much flawless and there is enough game here that you definitely feel like you're getting your money's worth. There were a few frustrating jump sequences that you get stuck doing over and over until you get it right but not enough of them to take away from the experience. The combat can be pretty frustrating at first, but once you begin to improve your weapons it gets better. Combat continues to be challenging throughout the game with a nice variety of enemies but not too difficult. There are so many elements and environments. The game just reeks with atmosphere and I never got bored for one second. There are also a nice number of mini-games and sidelines to keep things fresh. All-in-all, this is one of the few games in recent years that I just couldn't wait to find the time to play again. I would even go so far as to say it is a masterpiece IMHO. Definitely one of my fave games. Well worth getting especially if you can find it for less than original retail. If you liked the first Alice, you're going to LOVE this one. Better in EVERY way.
