Definitely a wicked cool game if your PC can handle it...

I've had this game for year and just now started playing it...all the bad reviews turned me off and it was around the time I picked up GTA IV so it sat on the shelf...

Now I'm playing, and it's awesome! Once the initial stage in Tortage ends, the game completely opens up,...and the world is huge. The background music is a cross between the movie Gladiator and Braveheart and the graphics (when set at Ultra high) are like eye candy.

Mind you: I run Vista Ultimate 32bit on an Intel Core 2 Quad, 4 GB RAM, with an NVidia GTX 285 using a Panasonic 37" 1080P HDTV as my monitor, so my PC never has a hiccup...

There are many quests to level up which avoids having to hack your way to leveling - the customizing of each character is wide open - minus the limited space in inventory. After leaving the first stage of the game you will find that voice acting is limited to only the main quest, or parts of the main quest - but with that being said...the time to spend on 1000+ characters to have a voice would be ridiculous - so, it's understandable. I also mapped the game to an XBox 360 controller so I can sit back in my lazy boy and not hunched in front of a huge screen. (Keyboard & mouse playing has always been a turn-off for me personally...I also mapped "The Witcher" enhanced directors cut edition - AWESOME game...BTW!!!)

I'm not a bigtime MMORPG person but since I grew up with the Movie "Conan" I initially had interest in this game.

If you like the game Oblivion (it reminds me of Oblivion) and MMO games, can pay $15 a month to play, and have a rig that is up-to-date (at least an Intel Core 2 duo, a graphics card bought in the last 4 years and w/a min. of 2GB RAM as I see where low RAM would bottleneck a PC)...it's definitely well worth it...decide for yourself and don't shelf the game like I did because I bought into the negative hype!!!
