Most of all though, the true fun begins once you get online with this game! So you get in and you can do either quick play (random search for open game), 2v2, 3v3, or free for all!
If you have a friend this is where the game can really be fun, be warned many people will talk on mic, it's a strategy type game so people often try to fulfill the commander role, BUT the gameplay itself you basically control a boat, can upgrade Speed, Armor, Cannon. Cannon upgrades WILL slow you down so be careful and make sure to pick up some speed to. Armor on the other hand will give you more overall hit points. Now you will drive around with a boat moving a tile at a time for how fast your boat goes, once you do encounter an enemy boat OR a town for resources your boat will auto start shooting cannons, you will see it's hp and your hp, you basically kill something before it kills you.
You then can cap towns, which then collects resources for you, each time you get a certain amount of resource you can get either boat upgrades OR town upgrades, both are good for various reasons. You basically win by capping the most towns (set by map) if you get the set amount captured you win, or you upgrade stomp the other team the whole time til time runs out and whoever has most towns at the end wins!
Very fun game for some amazing friend lan up times, specially while drinking some Booty Ale of your own! ARRRRR
