SIX games in one!? You must be joking!!!

User Rating: 9.5 | 6-Pak GEN
This is my first game to review on the Sega Genesis system, alphabetically. 6 games in 1? Okay, at first I was surprised at the Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt game, I was shocked at the Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt / World Class Meet game, and now I am astonished at this game for having 6 in it. I never expected only 1 game could have 6 built inside! My cousins Keisha, Glenn, Roy, David, Latoya, and Nikita loved playing 6 Pak. My 2 older sisters Davina and Denesha loved playing 6 Pak. Also, my other older cousin named "Darius" loved playing 6 Pak also. Keisha loved playing Super Hang On & The Revenge of Shinobi. Glenn, Roy, and David loved playing Golden Axe, Streets of Rage, and Sonic the Hedgehog together. Latoya and Nikita loved playing Sonic the Hedgehog. Davina my oldest sister loved playing Columns, and my other sister Denesha loved playing Sonic the Hedgehog and Columns. My other cousin Darius loved playing Streets of Rage & Sonic the Hedgehog, but he loved all of them anyway. I love playing all the games up there too, but like my cousin Darius my favorites are Streets of Rage & Sonic the Hedgehog.

Story: 9/10
- The story is a simple and heroic kind. In the game, Sonic has to prevent Dr. Robotnik from collecting the six Chaos Emeralds in an attempt to rule South Island.

Story: N/A
- Now for Super Hang-On, it has no storyline.

Story: 10/10
- The Revenge of Shinobi's storyline is pretty good traditional revenge story. I found out when I first got this, that The Revenge of Shinobi game was actually a sequel, I should of realized that when I first saw it's title. Taking place 3 years after the first game, the criminal organization Zeed from the original game has since reformed and has renamed them "Neo Zeed". Neo Zeed decides to have their revenge on the Oboro Ninja clan and Joe Musashi by killing his master and kidnapping Joe's fiancé, Naoko. Joe, having reached the clan too late, manages to learn about Neo Zeed's plot by his dying master. Joe decides to travel the world to gain his revenge on Neo Zeed as well as try to save his fiancé before it's too late.

Story: 10/10
- Golden Axe's storyline is really good; you can tell it has been thought out. The game takes place in the fictional land of Yuria, a type of high fantasy medieval world. An evil being known as Death Adder, has captured the King and his daughter, and holds them captive in their castle. He also finds the Golden Axe, the magical emblem of Yuria, and threatens to destroy both the axe and the royal family unless the people of Yuria accept him as their ruler.

Story: 10/10
- Streets of Rage's storyline is also really good! An evil crime lord, Mr. X, is wreaking havoc on The City and 3 vigilantes: Axel, Blaze and Adam, with their super martial arts techniques, want to put a stop to Mr. X and his surplus of gangs.

Story: N/A
- Now for the Columns game, it has no storyline.

Gameplay: 8/10
- The gameplay of this is pretty good for the first of the Sonic series. The player controls Sonic as he traverses 6 zones, each of which is split into 3 "acts". At the end of the third act of each zone, the player faces Dr. Robotnik in one of his vehicles. The gameplay centers around Sonic's ability to run, jump, and roll at high speeds. Levels include springs, slopes, high falls and "loop-de-loops".

Gameplay: 8/10
- Super Hang-On's gameplay is nice and "fast paced". The Arcade Mode in Super Hang-On is similar to the original Hang-On for the arcades in real life. In Original Mode, the player can buy new parts for their bike, hire a new mechanic, or start a race. This screen displays the player's current money as well as password for continuing his or her game.

Gameplay: 8/10
- The Revenge of Shinobi's gameplay is good. The game is a traditional side-scrolling platform game. The player controls Joe Musashi and must complete 8 districts before the final confrontation with the head of Neo Zeed. Each district consists of 3 scenes, the last of which is a battle against a unique boss-character.

Gameplay: 9/10
- The gameplay for Golden Axe is all right. Progress is made through the game by fighting through Death Adder's henchmen, including men armed with clubs and maces, skeleton Warriors, and knights. Aiding the characters in their quest is their ability to cast spells that hurt all enemies on the screen, which you must collect magic bottles to use. The more bottles you collect, the mightier their attacks will be. I do love the fact that this game is 2 Players. I do not know what it is about me, but I just have a great love for those beat-em-up games that has 2 Players with co-op mode!

Gameplay: 10/10
- The gameplay for Streets of Rage is awesome. I love those beat-em-up games! Like the game Golden Axe, enemies walk onto the screen from both sides as well as occasionally appearing from other locations. The players must defeat each opponent to progress through eight locations known as rounds. With the exception of round 7, there is a boss battle at the end of every round with a one large enemy. However, if on 2 Players, all the boss battles in the game have 2 large enemies instead.

Gameplay: 7/10
- The gameplay for Columns is really simple and easy. The game takes place inside a tall, rectangular playing area, as in a Tetris game. Columns of three different symbols (such as differently-colored jewels) appear, one at a time, at the top of the well and fall to the bottom, landing either on the floor or on top of previously-fallen. While as a column is falling, the player can move it left and right, and can also cycle the positions of the symbols within it. If, after a column has fallen, there is three or more of the same symbols connected in a straight line horizontally, vertically, or diagonally, those symbols disappear.

Graphics: 9/10
- The graphics are pretty good in the Sonic game. I like how everything is colored neatly!

Graphics: 9/10
- Super Hang-On's graphics are nice, with all those backgrounds of every continent you race through in the game.

Graphics: 9/10
- The Revenge of Shinobi's graphics is good.

Graphics: 9/10
- Golden Axe's graphics are fine.

Graphics: 9/10
- Streets of Rage's graphics are great. They must have done more work on the backgrounds because it looks better than the characters themselves.

Graphics: 8/10
- Now to judge the graphics of Columns, the game is colorful and the columns look 3D to me

Sound: 9/10
- The sound effects of Sonic the Hedgehog are nice! I love that memorable sound of when Sonic turns into a "saw ball". The music is great too!

Sound: 8/10
- The sound effects of Super Hang-On are nice and the music is all right.

Sound: 9/10
- The sound effects of The Revenge of Shinobi are nice. The music is pretty good!

Sound: 8/10
- The sound effects of Golden Axe are good. The music is all right.

Sound: 10/10
- The sound effects of Streets of Rage are great! The music is incredible! This game has got to have one the best music in a Sega Genesis game!

Sound: 9/10
- The sound effects of Columns are nice. I am not going to lie but, I still remember the music that is in the game!

Overall, I give 6 Pak a 9 1/2 out of 10. This is the best Sega Genesis game I got in my list! Oh my goodness! This game was adored by my cousins and 2 sisters! 6 Pak is golden. I have 2 copies of this game; meaning that I have 2 6 Pak games in my collection. I am so glad that this review is over with. I hope I do not have another game like Super Mario Bros. / Duck Hunt / World Class Track Meet or this, because this review took me 2 days!
