Not enough mini-games to keep you relaxed for a long time

User Rating: 6 | Zenses Ocean DS
I was able to watch one of (if not the only) the ads available for this game around a month before it got released. And their technique is pretty simple: "try and make people believe that this game is different from other puzzle games by telling them that it can be used for relaxation". Well is it all that and more?

The game is actually just your typical mini-games title. The only difference here is that you're given a game set on either an Ocean or Forest theme. I have only tried the Ocean version of it and its quality is fair to say the least. Here, you are given a total of 6 mini-games which is a lot less than most other titles have on offer. They are your simple memorize the shell positions, attaching parts to mimic the top-screen's sea creature, or clicking on the identical marked stones kind of games. It might cause some people to get relaxed due to the simplistic nature of the game but some of them have time limits, which somewhat defeats the game's main purpose of relaxation. I know that you probably can relax even when timed and most of them actually have pretty generous time limits that can be adjusted from 0-9. But they could have at least given the option to completely disable the timer for those who just want to play the game and not get bothered by a clock ticking on them.

Everything here is controlled by the touchscreen and doesn't feel awkward in any way since all of the games does play best with the said configuration.

Sound is (I guess) quite soothing and relaxing.

The game offers a very limited amount of mini-games and doesn't have the option for continues (non time-constraint) gameplay. It also doesn't have any multiplayer option, which drags the game down even further. And although the graphics looks nice and convincing, it isn't enough to pull the score higher than 6 in my opinion.

.:My reviews are only as good as everyone else's. Take every single one of them with a grain of salt:.
