Though inspired from the anime, it lacks the same charm and suspense of the source.

Few can forget the second season of Yu-Gi-Oh! anime. This game covers the domino city arc where the egyptian god cards were the star of the show. However, in this anime, it can become frustratingly difficult to just get from one part to another. There is no hint on where you should go next so first time players will have a hard time without a guide. Also, the gameplay is not true to Yu-Gi-Oh! style. You are unable to even select when you want to activate your trap card. Trap cards in this game activate the moment the conditions are met. Also, magic and trap cards have a very low deck cost. Deck cost is supposed to ensure that the player does not stuff too many powerful cards into his deck. This should be good news for people who want a fair challenge but somehow this is ruin by the fact that your deck capacity increases so slow that one can only hoard a very small number of good cards. People wanting to replicate Kaiba's or Yugi's deck have to fight like crazyu before they earn enough to replicate the deck. Sadly, not many of the opponents can be fought again and again except for a few. (Tristan, Bandit, Whale guy) This also brings into focus another weak point. The game is too easy. Being forced to use only trap and magic with relatively few monsters, I still managed to last through the entitre game. It was way too easy for a competent gamer.
