Wolverine is a good game considering it's a movie tie in title

Wolverine is a pretty straightforward adventure, with a lot of repetition. Thankfully some of the sequences make things good fun, and especially some of the moves like lunging at your targets from across the battlefield.

Sadly most of you abilities, apart from berserk, are practically useless, they are expensive to use, weak, and have low range, so you will find yourself just mashing the regular attacks throughout the whole game.

Levels can get quite a bit tedious later on, since they seem to drag on forever, without anything particularly interesting in them except for incoming swarms of enemies. Some of the levels will get even repeated more than enough times, and that will make it seem like you aren't progressing much.

Many environments are filled with deadly spikes and similar things that you can use to impale your enemies on. Thanks to Wolverines regenerative abilities every fight will seem like a cake walk.

Visuals are pretty nice, as you take damage, not only will you see blood on Wolverines model, but if you look closely you can see his flesh has been torn off, and underneath you can even see his ribs. If you take a moment, you will witness the recovery from within, and that sure is a sight to see. Also a nice detail is that his clothes on top of the wounds don't miraculously get stitched back together, that means Wolverine will become shirtless overtime as he takes damage.

This game doesn't do a good job of telling the story at all, many things have been changed, and none of the characters are even introduced well, so watching the movie first is a must. If you like a lot of hacking and slashing, you will have fun with Wolverine, but if you want a deep game with a good story then look elsewhere.
