I agree with what a lot of reviewers and critics have said about that game, and in a lot of ways this is the perfect example of almost hitting it out of the park but falling short. Still, for all its shortcomings at the end of the day I find myself having a great time playing the game. With the exception of a couple of rather intolerable and poorly designed QTE-ish moments, I've enjoyed the experience immensely. This game does a great job at making the player feel the he or she is kicking major bad guy butt without devastatingly difficult controls. It is a fine balance, and certainly many times the game comes across as a little too easy, but at the end of the day I can't wait to come back for more. It's refreshing to play a game that is competent, visually pleasing, and yet is just a blast to play. To me, this game scratches that itch perfectly.
