This game makes getting hurt seem painless and fun!
Graphics : 7.0
The graphics are good. Although very gritty and pixeled at times it still seems to shine very well. The main characters other than creed and wolverine don't look so well. Take a good look at gambit. He looks rough very bad graphics and his colors just mold together.
Gameplay : 7.5
The game is a hack and slash through and through. You will never stop cutting things with your claws from the moment you start till the credits roll. That is not to say its a bad thing. It never gets old as you have numerous attacks to use against your foes as well as environments to add to your attacks. Spite the many flashy attacks after a while you pick a single attack that is most effective and spam it over and over which makes for a quick boring experience.
Story : 7.0
Story is ok. You basically play through the main story and keep flashing back to your mission in Africa as certain memories arise. One note on wolverine is he does not mind getting hurt. Im sure he fills pain like anyone else but in this game he fills the need to blow himself down to the bone at every opportunity. This kinda makes the story a little cheesy at times, but overall it makes him more badass.
Sound : 8.0
The sound is one of the better aspects. Hugh Jackman's voice is solid and fits the chracter just as expected. The sounds of explosions, wolverine's attacks, and the environment work well together with a great blend.
Replay Value : 8.0
Once the game is complete you get the option to challenge different versions of wolverine if you collected the required items. Also you are able to replay any mission you desire. Some missions are by far better than others and are much worth replaying if you want to enjoy whats best of the game. If your a trophy hunter the game offers a fairly simple trophy selection. Expect a ton of grinding though.
Overall : 7.5
X-Men Origins : Wolverine is a fun game. Fans of hack and slash games will find a home here. Although its not perfect compared to other movie title games this is by far one, if not the best to be released. I enjoyed this game very much and recommend this to anyone who doesn't mind lots of blood and lots of badass.
