just plain and simply bad.
Ok, maybe not the worst game i've ever played, but still bad. let me start from the start. First thing i ever do when i play a wrestling game is make a character, and the first thing you will notice is there is no female character option, now i know i'm not a girl, but i know some girls who like wrestling games. and even the older games let you create a female character. what a sexist game. Second problem is the moveset. When you get to creating your moveset, you will realise it is as limited as hell. Especially the finishers. Third problem with creating my char. is the entrances. you may notice that the entrances are also limited. to add on to that; there aren't even any goddamned original entrances! what if i wanted an undertaker entrance for my char? well, i wouldn't get it. Fourth problem is when you are selecting the
hometown options for your char. it seems that the game thinks you're an American, regardless if you are or not, therefore listing ONLY AMERICAN PLACES! Fifth problem is selecting the music for my char's entrance. it suffers from the same problem as the entrance does; it doesn't have any original character's themes! but, it does give you some music that yo have on your XBOX harddrive. But why? none of the songs i have on my harddrive don't even come close to qualifying for wrestling entrance music! Sixth problem is that occasionally, when i save my character, when i go to test my char. he has blue eyebrows! what the hell?!
Career mode:
Ok, so in career mode, you can ONLY play as characters you CREATED!
cant play as any non-created legends e.g. triple H, shawn michaels, john cena, but you have to play as the character you created!
So in Career mode, you have to play as a cocky american (regardless of where you live. later on, the game even lists your char as american!) punk. Who, like all newbies, thinks he is the best. this turns out to be true however. Because, if you lose a match you have to start the match again! why can't we have free reign of whether we lose or not? for every match, you gain money for your WWEShop (i'll come back to that later) later on, you almost get your career ended by EVOLUTION so your char, seeking revenge, goes after them.
He manages to beat all of EVOLUTION until he forgot triple H was left, and your char gets assaulted by a sledgehammer. but what's wierd is that after the assault, your char doesnt want revenge! Talk about Inconsistent.
anyway, he becomes the Champion, THE END. NOTE: its the same story for all the created chars.
WWEShop: this is just an unlockables shop. nothing special here. except for that glitch that ERASED MY PROFILE!! (and it was a game glitch too. Surprise,Surprise.)
I have nothing more to say about this game. except this: if you want a good wrestling game for that generation get Wrestlemania 18 for gamecube. Yes, the inferior game beat the superior by far. much more fun.
