A game that gives you the Ultimate Warrior and Bret Hart in the same roster? sign me up. But wait there is more.
Ok so the roster is great. How about the characters looking like they are action figures?? Why not? do you really wanna see Andre the Giant flapping around with his big stomach around the ring or see him in a better state that would make him easy on the eye? to me I like the over the top look that the wrestlers have. I like it a lot. If I want them to look like reality why not just watch Monday night Raw? So the look is great I like it.
Now the problem. The controls. The controls of this game would have been perfect if they always wanted you to follow a set amount of situation for every match. For example the wrestlemania match all have goals to meet. Which is fine for that type of mood that they want you to relive the match. So they have to put you on these type of controls to follow.
But out side of this mode, when I go to play Legend Killer. I don't want to be controlled by level 1,2,3 bar of garbling. I want the old system that lets you pick with the D-pad which garbling your going for it, and than a 2nd time to pick which maneuver to do after that. Also the running is very stiff in this game. You have to push the D-pad two times in the direction u want to run and press a button, that end up in either missing one of the times u push the d-pad or the opponent getting to you before you execute it and grabs you.
So the control do have their problems that is for sure. We all liked the old Smack down VS Raw controls of 2005\2006. If its not broken don't try to fix it. If you really want to do new stuff with the game ADD content to it. I could only imagine Legend of Wrestling II with a bigger roster and some of our favorite wrestlers of Today as well in the mix. I do like the action figure look, I can't wait to see some of today's supers stars with that look. Give us the old school controls please. They worked perfect. Thanks for a nice game.
