This is one fairly generic rally racing game, not a sim, but for what it's supposed to be does a good job.

Let's start with the basics: interface. The presentation is done well, at first. If you're playing the demo or the retail fresh out of the box you get bugs right in the middle of the menu. So better get the latest update, which actualy polishes the whole game very well. Don't get me wrong, the menu is simple enough and intuitive but that makes place for imagination. Like when you enter an amusement park and the guy at the ticket toll is a sad clown, a very sad one.
So, moving forward to content and concept, this is THE official game to the FIA World Rally Championship, i even checked out their website which i found as a good adition to game info. The game has 18 cars, tried few of them, including Citroen C4 WRC edition (which makes me proud to say that i also own a citroen) and lots of memorable rally cars. But the game has 60 drivers! No sir, it does not afect your driving skills if you change the driver, those are only the very names of 2010 real life competitors in the real life championship. You also get 13 rallies, 78 tracks (!) and 55 events to chose from within the Single Stage, Single Rally or Championship modes also found in the online section. And if you like to play the career mode, that's in the New Game section, Road to the WRC. Here you can also find Rally Academy and Time Attack.
About the gameplay, i'll start with the online one just to say that it's pointless to try and find players and when found you'll be overwhelmed by bugs and crashes.
Single player gameplay is not too shabby, could have been better but it's actualy playable. Choose to play on easy difficulty and you'll be invincible, try it on hard and have real hardcore challenge. Change difficulty settings so you can drive like a pro without help, or enable some assist features like brake and stability to help out and almost drive itself. The bad thing is that you can't feel a big difference between cars.
The physics are impresive! If you've played any of the SBK or MotoGP games, you know what i mean. Those guys at Milestone know what they're doing in this mater. The game has 32 car damages and 40 different types of terrain to smash the cars on.
Also, the weather system that afects the way you drive on each terain.
Graphics are nice, but do get fooled by internet screenshots, they are real. Rough edges are hidden by blur and does a good enough job and the nature is very lively. Wabbits run across the track in the meadows, people jump over tarmac in the distance, fans cheer and wave at your car. Also beautiful lighting.
Try the demo first, buy if you like!
