(Very) Frustrating AI makes it really hard to enjoy this well-made game.

As always, feel free to disagree with me.

To summarise this series of games called "Worms" is easy. Pink coloured worms blowing up each other using a variety of weapons - bazookas, mines, dynamites or even almighty raining-down-from-above airstrikes.

This newest version of worms has the kick in it as compared to the previous worms 4: mayhem, 3D version of the worms game. 2D Worms > 3D Worms as many have said. However, despite this being a 2D version of worms, you will get more frustration than fun while playing this game.

Firstly, the pros.

1) Weapons!!
A LOT of weapons to choose from to blow the crap out of the opponents. Bazookas, Homing Missiles, Bunker Busters, AirStrikes, Grenades, Cluster Bombs, Banana Bombs, Buffaloes, Sheep, Holy Hand Grenades just to name a few.

2) Graphics
Great graphics improvement. Seeing the not-so-good graphical detail of worms 4, this is a refreshment. Graphics overall has been improved a huge load, as mentioned in the first sentence. To go into details, the bazookas are better looking, homing missiles better looking and of course the airstrikes. They look fantastic with all the smoke coming out from the ends of the missiles you rain down on your puny pink worms (or not quite... read the cons) and blow them up sky high or down into the sea and turn them into gravestones.

3) Customisation
Comparing the customisation options in worms 4 mayhem, this version of worms has taken away something and added in something. Taken away was the customisation of your own weapons, meaning making your own weapons. Adding in was landscaping. Creating your own landscapes to kill other worms is quite entertaining.

The cons:

1) Insane AI
Insane is really a word for the AI. I know. Its Artificial Intelligence, not Artificial Stupidity. BUT. The AI is too hard. Even on the easy setting, the AI totally owns you. Alright. Playing with humans sound better. Right? But if you really are itching to complete the campaign mode on worms, its really a huge frustration to fight against the AI worms round after round after round. They hit every shot, no matter at what range. I know what you're thinking: Yea... This guy's a noob. No bloody way the AI would be so hard.

I admit. Maybe it's because I'm a noob. But a noob plays on Easy difficulty. Right? And Easy is well... Not at all easy.

There's only 1 bad point about this game in my opinion. But it totally spoils the entire game. Its uber frustrating to go play an hour just to beat one round of the campaign mode and dying hundreds of times in that hour when you could complete the campaign mode dying once or twice in half and hour. Repeating the process is part of this game, yes. However, repeating the process on the same map itself isn't fun at all.

I do not really recommend this to anyone unless they release a patch to patch the game to adjust the AI difficulty.

That's the end of the review.
