2k3 was great for its time !!!

Back in the day, this game was the baseball game to get. Franchise, season, HR derby, exhibition, what more could you ask for, except maybe too not have a yankee on the cover. You will spend most of your time in the franchise mode, playing endless seasons trying to win it all. trade players, create players, sign free agents, or just have some good homegrown players. Its all under your control. Choose between cursor style batting, or overly simple timing based hitting. Throw in the computer pitch camera, from behind the pitcher, and youve got a pretty realistic game. Stats may end up a little on the high side, but I doubt many will complain. The game is easy to get a grasp on. The sound and presentation are a bit bland, even for its time. But youve got the ESPN logos and stat overlays to keep you interested. The crowd is just kinda lifeless, as is the boring announcer, Ted Robinson ( remember him from the horrible ps1 game Sammy Sosa high heat 2001 ) And Rex Hudler is just plain annoying, but you can turn off the commentary, as I would suggest to everyone. All that aside, this game is great !!!! pick it up for a buck or two, bust out a few seasons, and enjoy !! graphics are good, sound is decent, gameplay is good, replay value is good and thats the deal.
