An unrelenting enjoyable assault on the senses, Wipeout Pulse is what every sequel should strive to be.
Over the years however, Wipeout began to suffer. Radical gameplay and design changes let the franchise down a slippery slop that I thought it could never recover from. Then Wipeout Pure hit the PSP. Hot damn, this was good. Back to it's roots and fun as hell. After beating the game it only left me wanting more.
Now three years later, PULSE hits the market. With yet another sensational soundtrack and more white-knuckle suspense, Pure blows everything away. With new racers, new tracks and new modes (online, YES!), PURE offers more than any Wipeout before it.
Improved graphics and audio pave the way for what is ultimately a vastly delightful experience. The controls have been tightened up even more, allowing for finite control with your speedy craft. The new UI is easy to read and blends perfectly with the future techno le` graphism style of the game.
Probably my favorite PSP game so far outside of Final Fantasy Tactics. I wholeheartedly recommend Wipeout Pulse to anyone looking for a good PSP title to play.
