Lacking a convincing storyline and falling short on length, Where the Wild Things Are never truly takes flight.

User Rating: 6.5 | Where the Wild Things Are DS
As a fan of both the children's book and the movie, Where the Wild Things Are for the Nintendo DS was somewhat of a letdown. The game fails to capture the gamer with a powerful storyline leaving the player uninspired at the end of the game. The game is also quite short in length, taking only 3-4 hours from start to finish. On a positive note the game cleverly introduces each character one by one, each in their own special way. The player must utilize these "special" abilities of each character to proceed through the game. The characters in the game look much like the ones from the movie which in my book is a good feature. When compared to the Xbox 360 version of the game the two have very few similarities. Atleast the Xbox 360 version is worth the money. If you enjoy a simple game without much diversity then Where the Wild Things Are may be the game for you. Where the Wild Things Are earns a 6.5 out of 10.
