Crazy and insane while it lasts, but way too short

This is my first Katamari game, and... well, let's just say that this was one crazy game. Who'd have known that a game that just tosses you into an environment to pick up stuff into a ball could be so much fun? The game is a blast to play. The levels are very diverse as well. For example, one level is underwater, while another has you rolling up a sumo wrestler to make him fatter. All of the levels are well designed and fun to play, especially the ones where you get so big that you're rolling up entire countries.

Another great thing about the game is the music - the music is so random! It's just got this weird singing and weird instruments that get stuck in your head really easily. Especially the opening theme, it's so random!

The one major downfall to the game is its length. The game is lots of fun to play and there's lots of variety, and it even looks and sounds great, but the length makes it very hard to recommend purchasing it. I got it for $15 and even I'm a little shaky on whether or not it was worth it. I beat the game in 2 or 3 days of casual play. That's it. I mean, I'm guessing it took MAYBE 5 hours? That's the game's real downfall. I mean, you can go back and get high scores and stuff like that, but... well... I don't know if there's alot of incentive to go back and do that.

So in the end, while it's a fun game to play and I can recommend a rental, approach a purchase with caution because while it's definitely a fun trip, it doesn't last long.
