Ok, here's the real deal... This game is definatly not for everyone. The amount of joy that you get from it will be totally dependant on how much you are into the samurai subject matter. If you are even the slightest bit into Japanese cimema, Akira Kurosawa, or sword fighting, then you are gonna find a lot to like. If all you care about are ninjas, Poke'mon, or pure hack and slash button mashing, then avoid this one. I love the period of thime that this story takes place in, so I am totally facinated by all the little details that are in the game. You really get a sence of life in the early Meiji era Japan. Mind you, like most Japanese things, it's subtle. You should appreciate the beauty and simplicity of the small gardens and trees etc. However, be warned... the english voice over is pretty bad... they should not have dubbed this. Considering that anyone who actually purchases this probably would rather hear the original Japanese anyway, they likely sucedded in pissing off fans, rather then create an enjoyable experience. The graphics are good, but not spectacular, the story is ok, but all in all, any fans of early Japan and samurai movies are sure to enjoy... everyone esle should wait for the new Tenchu.
