Positives:
- Captures the zany essence that "WarioWare" is always known for.
- Expands on the gameplay of "Smooth Moves," while adding its own unique spin.
- Plenty of microgames that provide a great amount of variation.
- Some minigames showed me things I didn't even know the Joy-Cons were capable of.
- Story mode offers plenty of entertaining humor with many of the franchise's best characters.
- Visual design fits perfectly in the goofy wheelhouse of "WarioWare."
- Sound work is just as silly as ever, befitting the franchise.
- Lots of fun modes and opportunities for fun multiplayer gaming.
Negatives:
- Some of the new Forms feel a bit finicky.
- Even though it's capable of greater degrees of motion, the Joy-Cons are such finicky controllers that it feels a bit unreliable compared to the Wii Remote.
Consensus: I've enjoyed the "WarioWare" series for a very long time, and "WarioWare: Move It!" was a game I was unbelievably excited about. As "WarioWare: Smooth Moves" on the Wii was one of my favorites in the franchise, I was pumped to see Nintendo go with a full sequel, and I was happy to see that, even after the massive switch-up that was "WarioWare: Get It Together!" (which was a very good game), there would still be room for a traditional "WarioWare" game. And all things told, it was everything I could've wanted out of a "Smooth Moves" sequel. All the trademark "WarioWare" humor and charm is here in spades, and it's incredibly fun to play. Give it a try if you're looking for some fun multiplayer chaos.
