Do you like to have fun?
Single player is great, not the best story in the world, but I found myself just having a blast charging head first into an army of orks and becoming a cyclone of death and blood. The game does a good job of making you feel powerful, yet you still die a lot. The fact that you can get hit while perform executions.
I don't really play competitive multiplayer games but I thought I would give this one a shot, ...............and it TOTALLY hooked me. I have been having a blast as a jump pack class, throwing blind grenades, jumping 100 ft in the air and bringing my thunder hammer down on their head, then jumping away before I get riddled with bullets.
I think the game changer for me, is that this game is much less of the standard shooter multiplayer. Snipers aren't as big of a deal thanks to the assault marines, and the result is, a giant crazy melee where people are getting blown up, chopped up, riddled with bullets, or headshoted, in a very fast paced intense battle.
Customizing your armor and weapons should just be a gimik, but again, it's very addictive. The weapons in this game are very different and thusly a breath of fresh air. The unlocks feel more meaningful then the normal fair, but I think I might have rose colored glasses about this game now. Not exactly a non biased review I guess.... But that proves my point to an extent..... the game is just fun, you can't help but smile when you play.
Anyway, I bought this game for single player, and it's well worth the money, but weirdly enough, I've become addicted to the multiplayer.
