A good idea but poorly done.

Fire Warrior was a good idea for a game, but poorly done I think. The gameplay is quite good for the time. The graphics are reasonable, at least you can play the game without thinking "what is that supposed to be?" The enemies though are a bit over toughened for the 40K universe. The fact that the pulse rifle takes about 10 or so hits to actually kill a normal Guardsman is almost blasphemous to avid 40K players. The storyline is quite good, and keeps you playing the game in order to find out what happens at the end. The weaponry could do with a tune up though, as the Tau are supposed to have some of the most powerful weaponry in the game, whereas the Imperium seems to be better weapon-wise. The bolter is supposed to be able absolutely decimate enemies, leaving nothing more than a puff of blood, but the fact that it takes about five to kill a space marine is about out of the ordinary.
