Candy crush of war games?

User Rating: 4 | War Thunder PS4

The sooner developers like these go under the better. This game isn't "free to play" it is repetitive game with an incredibly high pay wall on a game that should at most be a $20 game... Personally I would have payed $60 just because I like these types of games but the developer completely killed any chance of me buying anything with their ridiculous pricing. The cheaper in game DLC runs around $13s and it is horribly overpriced( as to be expected from the developers that are clearly just hoping to milk the **** out of fans of WWII games). The overall content wouldn't be bad, if it wasn't hidden behind an excessive grind fest or pay wall. It isn't reasonably possible to unlock a lot of the nicer planes with out spending money or a few months. When I first started playing I figured by judging the content this would be one of those F2P games where you can own most of the content for around $20, I was horribly wrong in this game you can expect to pay well over $100 if you want most of the content.

Quality issues with the game aside from the horrible price point:

Camera, you can lose the camera occasionally in game making for some incredibly frustrating gameplay reminiscent of the early days of 3D gameplay(key word here being early, it has been nearly 2 decades there is no excuse for buggy cameras).

The gameplay itself is utterly broken by the F2W model this game takes, I've played games where you could actually play free and not be horribly punished for it, in this game free players are fish in a barrel for all the people who are willing to break their wallet on this game(and unlike most F2P games, you will need to break your wallet on this game).

The UI in general, obviously made for a mouse but hey lets not change one damn thing before releasing this for consoles because our motto is cash grab, as in screw the customer as hard as possible.

Basic features of planes have to be researched, when I research then buy a bomber(in game currency) I expect it to have bombs, not spends a few more days(and yes it took days for this to finish or I could have spent $1 for researching 1 plane then another few dollars researching the planes equipment so I could actually use a bomber as a bomber). I could understand waiting a few days for a plane but the idea that you have to research bombs for a bomber is just ludicrous to say the least.

Most aggravating thing about this game:

Developers killed what would have otherwise been a good game with ludicrous amount of greed. I love these types of games but hiding it behind a Candy Crush type pay model completely kills the soul of the game.
