Sega's zany tennis star serves a Vita ace!!!!

User Rating: 8.5 | Power Smash 4 VITA
Hohops whow's this right off the bat (racquet?)- Virtua tennis 4 on Vita is better than virtua tennis 4 on ps3. Squeezing the game onto that glossy 5-inch OLED screen has resulted in sharper visuals- highlighted in particular by thouse glorious, BBC-style, slo-mo replays - without sacrificing any of the punchy rallies or quirky charm. Player likenesses are top drawer - SEGA have got Federer's arrogant nonchalance and fashionable fringe SPOT on - and cracking a forehand winner down the line feels just as good as what we imagin punching Rafael Nadal in the chops would feel like.

New balls please.

So what's new then? The vita version chucks in a quartet of mimigames that not only showcase the console's headline control features (sixaxis tilting and augmented reality), but are also suprisingly not rubbish. The best of the bunch is "VR match", which uses the vita's AR camera to give you first person tennis.

A cracking vita port then, with smooth controls and heaps of cotent making it virtua-lly the best tennis game around, on ANY format.

A MOST BUY!!!
