I loved XCOM, the little I played. Unfortunately with it I got stopped because the design of the game allows you to make a mistake early in the game and then it can nail you many missions later. Because of this I could never finish it. Never restarted, I had other things to play that didn't do that to the player.

I bought XCOM 2, but haven't started it yet. Heard it's even tougher.

The design is beautiful and I love what they did with it. But for this expansion, I'll wait for a year or two till it's on sale for under $15. Then pick it up.

This looks unusual for XCOM and I love it!

Well, I guess this sort of explains why Firaxis hasn't bothered to fix most of what they broke back in November, but for me it could be completely moot. I was so disgusted at the game breaking bugs they introduced and the complete inability to effectively manage my squad's items (because Make Items Available and Make Weapons Available no longer work right, even on those rare occasions when you can actually access the options) that I uninstalled XCOM 2 from my computer. Firaxis' support for the game thus far has been so utterly HORRENDOUS that they've managed to destroy my trust in their ability to deliver an enjoyable playing experience. Now, rather than looking forward to the expansion, I'm shaking my head and wondering if I'm really willing to buy anything more from them.
