Metro Exodus Delayed For PS4, Xbox One, And PC - GameSpot Daily

Neither Metro Exodus or Shenmue 3 will come to PS4, Xbox One, and PC until 2019, but Stalker 2 is totally happening.

Unfortunately, Metro Exodus has been delayed for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The upcoming game from 4A Games was originally scheduled for this year, but now it's set for release sometime between January and March 2019. No explanation was provided for the delay. Metro Exodus is the third game in the series, which is based on books by Dmitry Glukhovsky.

Publisher Deep Silver says Exodus will be a "sandbox survival experience" with large, non-linear levels mixed in with more linear stages. The story takes place over the course of a year and finds Artyom fleeing from the Moscow Metro with a band of survivors. That's our headlining story for today's GameSpot Daily, but we've got a bunch of other stories ready to report in 30 minutes or less.

In somewhat related news, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 is alive once again, but it won't be coming out anytime soon. A website for the STALKER sequel cropped up and the official GSC Game World site states that the game is currently in the works. Both the STALKER and Metro series share a lot of similarities, most notably being set after an apocalyptic event in Eastern Europe. Not much is known about STALKER 2, but we discuss everything in the video above.

In other news, Shenmue III was also delayed into 2019. The PS4/PC game was set to release this year. but publisher Deep Silver said the delay will give the development team extra time to polish and meet the "high standards it deserves."

Lastly, after the recent shutdown of Boss Key Productions, Cliff Bleszinski has taken to Twitter to share some of the ideas he had for games he couldn't make. We run down some of his ideas in today's episode.

And that's what you'll find in this episode, but be sure to tune in every day of the week at 11 AM PST/2 PM EST/7 PM BST/4 AM AEST for another episode of GameSpot Daily. We cover the most exciting gaming news in 30 minutes or less.
