"years away"...wth? it has already been two years they came out with ME3 and probably more than 3 years since they stopped working on ME3...oh c'mon...
I actually like this. I thought the Mako was kinda fun in ME1 although the exploration did get a bit tedious. If they can refine that away, I think it could be great.
@TazmanianD yep, there was something enchanting about breezing through the alien landscape in the Mako, watching alien stars shine during the night, even better were the few story specific missions like Novaria...it got a quite a bit repetitive as the non-story planets were mostly empty, if they could fill them out with something and make them feel unique, so rather allows less planets for Mako, but each of them unique, then it would be awesome
Not looking forward to the Mako returning, but the ME people are a smart bunch and I'm sure they can figure a way to make it less tedious. The worst news though unsurprising is that it's all years away. If only we had similar sources for the next Fallout and TES games.
ME2 was the best. ME1 needs a new graphical coat of paint and had the same hideout buildings over and over. The cutscenes at the end of ME3 make better sense now but still inferior to it's predecessor.
Mass Effect 1 was easily my favorite of the 3. I really hope Bioware take their time with this and give us a huge game that is heavily influenced by what made the first game so great.
...and the Mako? It should never have been excluded from the other ME games and instead improved upon.
I know, some people are saying it was tedious but I loved the whole exploring thing on the planet's surfaces. It felt really good and I was gutted that they removed it from ME2 to put in that flying thing, what was it called again? The Hammer-Head, I think?
I am still mad. I will always be mad. On my deathbed I will still be mad. When the seas heat up and the world descends into global catastrophe I will still be mad. In the afterlife, when I get to the gates of Heaven, St. Peter and his angels will ask me "Are you still mad about ME 3?" And my reply will be "Yes." When the race of man is no more and the ruins of cities have crumbled into dust I will still be mad. Ancient alien civilizations will find the smoldering, volcanic corpse of the Earth and decode the ancient secrets of the Internet and they will find this post and so my eternal anger will be brought forth into the far-flung reaches of outer space. When the last tiny flash of heat in the universe dies and all descends into entropy, my hatred will remain.
I liked Mass Effect 1 for its larger exploration element and the larger variety of weapons, armor, gadgets, etc. So them bringing the Mako back while stating exploration is a large element of the new game is getting me excited.
Awesome, Kudos to Bioware, I asked for visual customization of the ship, but they gave me mako customization. I take it they'll do the same for the shape. Good job in listening to the fans.
@guydude3412 That would be epic, especially if you could play them as one game by choosing it in the options menu, if they enhanced the visuals and added features like they did when releasing ME1 on PC it would be epic, I would just play right through like it was one long game.
