Avengers: Endgame - Just How Powerful Is Thanos Without The Infinity Gauntlet?

Could Thanos have taken out the Avengers on Titan without the Infinity Stones? Is he powerful enough to not even need the legendary Infinity Gauntlet to win in Avengers: Endgame? Ryan digs into the Marvel comics and MCU for clues to find out how powerful the mad titan is on his own.

Thanos the Mad Titan is the big bad the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe has been building towards. He's physically imposing, but our only time seeing him in battle so far has been when he's augmented by at least some of the Infinity Stones and the Gauntlet. But how strong is he without those two incredibly powerful tools at his disposal?

As detailed in the comics, Thanos is part of an already super-strong race called the Eternals, and on top of that, he's essentially a mutated Titan as well. That combined with years of training and meditation has made him one of the most formidable Marvel villains around--capable of taking on the likes of Hulk, Thor, and many incarnations of super-teams single-handedly and without any fancy gloves or stones. Given that the opening of Infinity War shows Thanos dispatching these two high-tier characters with relative ease, his power level is probably similar to that of the comics. In the video above we explore this further and get to the bottom of just how powerful the Mad Titan really is without the universe-altering stones and gauntlet.
