GS News Top 5 - Wii U is selling, Watch Dogs delayed and RE7 is happening?!

I don't know how to feel about RE7 being in development... I'm not exactly psyched for it. Honestly, I'd rather see another ZombiU game than a Resident Evil.

I want a Wii U. People need to stop putting it down. Its a good console.

Why would Capcom waste money on even making another RE game unless it goes back to the roots of survival horror

I hate when people talk about the "upgraded capabilities" the new kinect has. We have seen none of it. Its just what people telling us it has. Drop the kinect and the price and more people will buy the fucking thing.

I hope Capcom actually learns from their mistakes for once and finally makes the RE game that the true fans have been dreaming of since RE4. As much as I would love to believe that RE7 will be all about the "survival-horror", they said the same exact crap about RE6...

In the worst case scenario, at least we will have The Evil Within, even though that game looks like it has a heavy "action" design to it, just like RE4-6...

Next gen RE yes! Bring it on.

No no...People hate Microsoft for very valid reasons...reasons people dont want to talk about. Theres a few BIG reasons.

1. Kinect Spy tool: Theyre essentially mixing poison into peoples Desert and saying "enjoy" Weather its for advertisers or the Nsa noone should compromise YOUR rights by abusing technology intended to be used for motion control to pry on the personal lives of someone just because they buy a gaming console.

2. No Bill Gates. When the Xbox 360 first launched Bill Gates had this plan for it to be a living room media device yes but first and foremost it was supposed to be a video game console based around Direct X. Bill did alot to attract developers from all over the world to develop games on the 360..thats why it was the staple console of current gen. When Bill Gates left Microsoft they adopted this idea of lets make rinse and repeat shooters and sell based on the name of a game rather than a quality library. This is a KEY reason why I wont buy Xbox One. Neither should any smart gamer.

3. 180 debacle. OK I wont get into repeating all of what they did cause everyone knows what they tried to push down gamers throats this past summer when they announced the Xbox One. They pretty much took most of it back but its not all gone. You cant jump into a swimming pool full of poo and then brush it off...the smell is still there!

4.Games. The only original looking game they have in their lineup is Ryse and I have a strong feeling that that game is shovelware. like I mentioned in #2 the launch lineup is weak, lackluster and non-diverse. Just rinse and repeat shooters. There are no games not even TitanFall(which I can get on my Pc and 360 anyway) that warrant a MUST BUY of the Xbone.

5. What noone else talks about: Price. The fact that the system price is 500 dollars for a weaker system than the Ps4 the question noone seems to be discussing is what else do I have to spend money on besides that 500 dollar purchase? While every system is going to require you to get accessories. Microsoft is notorious for milking Accessory costs as mandatory purchases. Also there will be other costs connected with Xbox Live and use of the cloud. that's one of the reasons why they sing the song, :The Cloud, The Cloud ,The Cloud" Its because they plan to charge you for using it!

On the part of Ubisoft delaying Watch Dogs, I enjoyed Rayman Legends very much so I think it's great that they're taking time to refine and prepare this game too. I do hope Watch Dogs stands out from GTA though. Glad to see the Wii U community will have more members too; I'm sentimental when it comes to Nintendo.

Bravo! Good job new GameSpot in this pro-Microsoft campaign. "Plenty of people are just hating the thing [Xbox One] because they don't like Microsoft." Where did you get that conclusion from miss? We didn't wake up some morning starting hating Microsoft. Microsoft tried to apply on Xbox One the most absurd and insulting drm we've ever seen, and despite taking back most of it, they still go with the Kinect-Big Brother feature. Xbox One backlash is not just a case of Sony vs Microsoft fan-boys war, it's much more than that, it's about our rights as gamers and consumers.

Ubisoft is permanently scrolled into my burn book but not because of some delay. Rather, it has more to do with uPlay, DRM and their rather silly anti-PC sentiment. I actually prefer that devs delay games and release quality than release something horrendously buggy. That said, I can understand why some console players may be angry though, given that his was pretty much the biggest launch title next-gen gamers had to look forward to.

Bringing RE back to its roots? What a joke. The new games are terrible and there's no going back. Unless... You give the fans what they've ALWAYS been asking for: a full and proper RE2 remake with old school fixed camera angles and an optional(!) over-the-shoulder cam. Combine RE2 & RE3's storyline into one game for maximum OOMPH! Seriously, Capcom, this is what we want. Do it.

I'm calling BS on the Wii U selling 685% for the week since no journalists have actually provided any quantitative numbers on the claim, last time such a claim was made it was a big fat lie and wasn't based on an quantitative figures but instead on qualitative figures of the Wii U jumping on Amazon UK's game sales rankings for a single day, which was actually worse news when you look at it because sales spiked then due to ASDA liquidating their Wii U inventory with a firesale and competing retailers dropped price to stay competitive not realizing it was a firesale until they realized ASDA was all sold out and not getting anymore back. Anyhow, no hard figures I take news of the Wii U doing better as far fetched desperate bullshit form Nintendo.

Hope Capcom finally learned their lesson and make RE7 a true "Horror" game, we have enough action games on the market already.

If Resident evil 7 is in planning, I hope they learn their mistakes from RE6...

If RE7 is anything like RE6, I will for sure call capcom and bitch the hell out of them.
