Shame about Halo not coming to PC (yet?!?), but clearly a marketing drive toward hoping it will sell the xbox. Alas while I would buy The Master Chief Collection for the PC I will not invest in the new xbox just for that. And I know I am not the only one .... there could be a nice little earner if they should decide to come out with the PC version a lot sooner.

And Jess ...your smile is perfect!

Thank you, Jess for your commentary. I was watching it this week for the release of Evil Within for PC. Also, am very bummed that Master Chief Collection won't be on PC version. Thanks so much again for your dedication and current information.

Honestly, I just want to see the day that Jess reviews a game. She seems very unbiased.

What would Halo be like without Cortana and Jenn Taylor, the voice of Cortana? Perhaps in the dumpster.

'Make it Rain'

Very very bad life changing news for yesterday, again. I love real rain, but I want the metaphorical rain to stop.

Thank you Jess for life much sweeter. What can be said to make you feel most appreciated in the way you like to receive it?

I do my best.

@scarred_fox Did anyone think it was coming to PC.? it is just a strange thing to mention as it was only announced for XboxOne. Still on the fence that it is enough to buy a console just to play it though.

@jtb_pred @deviltaz35 @scarred_fox I liked the original Gears didn't think much of it after that . I just thought they went the wrong way as far as gameplay and settings etc.

With the Original Gears it felt like there was a purpose to playing it where as the next two felt like they were just dragging stories out to shove the same characters in our faces. It just didn't flow well like the first game. Plus that killer rain storm and all the darkness was just awesome :)

I liked Halo up to 4 . The only thing i liked about 4 was Spartan Ops. I don't really play MP so a Beta wouldn't interest me really.

Honestly, only a small group of gamers give a single damn about Halo being on the PC. To the rest of us it barely registers as a game anymore.

"Oh, they're releasing a Halo game? Good for them." And we forget about it five seconds later.

@Auriken Definitely not true. Halo 3 has MASSIVE potential on PC. The community would build levels on forge unlike anything released before. PC gamers will fight to get to the top (50). And the average coordination is going to at least be 10 times higher than consoles....

@TheJamin it's running on shitty id tech engine, meaning NO sli support, full of low res texture with lot of texture pop in, ridiculous hard drive space requirement ... etc

@TheJamin Yeah my 980 will do the job sure, but really? Game looks like crap (graphically), maybe I'll just get this on for PS4 at some point, because not much aiming involved.

Why is MS always expected to put their games on PC? No one demands that Sony or Nintendo do. And don't give me this, well MS makes money off PC's so it's different. They ALSO make money off sales of consoles, and if they want more incentive for people to pick one up, then they shouldn't be releasing all their games on PC, especially at launch.

@misstrist Because money? When the sales of hardwares are stale no point with-helding the game properties which can make more money when they release to other platforms. And also why people care about exclusives and not the game itself? Bragging rights? Seriously, you own a license to play that game. Do you seriously think you own that game?

@misstrist The reason why is because Microsoft SHOULD be supporting PC as well. They make money with the Windows OS obviously and their whole push for a unified platform for gaming (Games for Windows Live), they launched it with Halo 2, but never really supported it and just let it die out. Fact is, we already know console makers don't make the money on the hardware, but the software. Microsoft shouldn't care so much that people are playing games on PC, they should care they arnt selling HUGLY popular titles on PC, and losing out on a lot of potential income from the PC world. Personally I played all the Halo games, but never owned any past 3, and I sold that with my 360. I have Halo 1 and 2 on PC, and still play Halo 1 all the time multiplayer. And to me it just doesn't make sense why they leave the PC gamers out in the cold when it comes to Halo. I would buy them all in a heartbeat, but that isn't gonna happen anytime soon unfortunately.

Remember, before Xbox Microsoft made a lot of great games on PC, they supported PC. But these days it seems like they just turned their back on the PC users.

@jkrieski @misstrist People who play on PC's are STILL going to own PCs with or without MS games on them, PC sales aren't going to decline because of it. They are only hurting sales of the Xbox by not keeping their games console exclusive. If they want a unified structure across console and PC platforms, then the best way to do that is to get as many consoles in the home as possible. Which means making the purchase of a console to play their games a necessity, as it is for every other manufacturer.

@misstrist Ironically no they are not only hurting sales of Xbox. While im sure there are people who will shell out the cash for a console for the few exclusives, there are plenty out there who wouldn't. And again, Microsoft doesn't make money on the hardware, they do on the software, and you are completely shutting out an entire market segment you could be getting money from if you ported the game to PC as well.

@jkrieski @misstrist You COULD argue that Sony and Nintendo are losing out on sales by not porting to PC as well, but you that's not true. Because the software is what sells consoles. And they DO make money off console sales, typically not right at release but as the costs of parts decreases they do. And don't ignore all the revenue that is generated through subscription fees and additional content. None of which goes into their pockets if a person is playing on PC.

@misstrist Microsoft is expected by some gamers to put their games on the P.C. because they often do. MS is first and foremost a software company despite branching out in many other areas. While they do keep some of their properties off the p.c. in an effort to drive their console business the majority of titles eventually make it there. The most recent examples of console exclusives that are now heading to the P.C. are D.R. 3, and Ryse.

Sony and Nintendo, on the other hand, pretty much never put games on the P.C. which is why gamers don't generally waste their time asking for them.

@RevLux @misstrist Yeah, but it's really an unfair expectation. People who prefer to play on PC, don't just skip games when they're console exclusive titles on PS, or Nintendo when they want to play them. They go out and buy the system. That MS is generous to port some games over allowing them to be played on PC isn't enough though, there's this expectation that all their games should be on PC. Which I think is unfair. There are plenty of 3rd party games you can play on PC, but first party titles should be on their systems.

@misstrist Halo 1 & 2 made it to PC, people are just being hopeful that they get access to a great shooter on a platform where shooters play best.

People are allowed to hope for things aren't they?

@jasswolf @misstrist And adding to that Microsoft actually developed good games for PC back in the day, before Xbox ruined it.
