More like you might get bored in 30 hours so you say to yourself I beat the game...

I almost fell asleep watching this video her voice so boring maybe she is sick of her job?

Even if the game could be completed in 30 hours, it would still be a good purchase. It would also mean the player blazed through as dast he could with little to no exploration given the nature of the game. Why would it hurt sales of No Mans Sky?

This video should be edited and every other video that says the game has been "completed". It HASN'T! Shaun has pointed out many times that there are multiple galaxies and you have to get to the centre of the UNIVERSE not galaxy!

Therefore, this player has reached the centre of the first galaxy we will all start in. A galaxy that is probably easier than all the other galaxies as it's the "starter galaxy"!

For Gamespot to repeat this lie is terrible, as they are a professional site and should know the facts!

It's probably to late, as so many have repeated this lie it has become the truth, that this player "completed the game in 30 hours"! This will hurt sales of No Man's Sky's - all because of the amateurish news websites and You Tube posters we have nowadays!

So get the word out. The game is made up of multiple galaxies - and getting to the centre of the first galaxy is NOT completing the game!

@sammax: You might be wrong in the way you're thinking of a universe in the game. I'm not 100% sure myself but from what I am reading on reddit it sounds like while there are certainly multiple galaxies there actually is no "universe". It sounds like you play through a galaxy by reaching its center at which point you have "completed" that galaxy, and then you can start in a new galaxy and do it all over again, but you don't actually reach the center of the universe. People seem to be saying that each new galaxy is kind of like starting a new game, or new game+, that kinda thing. Here are some quotes from the leak player:

"There is no concept of universe in the game, but there are multiple galaxies."

"Because people are asking if I've "made it to the center of the universe." That's a specific thing, a specific goal. And no, I haven't, because it doesn't exist. The game doesn't check for a universe. It's not something you can hope to do in the game. So why use the term? It doesn't exist in NMS"

"But the universe is never directly referenced so in discussing the game, there's no point in using the term. The hierarchy as far as the game is concerned ends with Galaxy."

"That video is over a year old. The term is not used, so there's no point in bringing it up. You will never "Reach the center of the Universe," it's not a thing that exists in the game."

"I never said there wasn't multiple galaxies, and I understand that's supposed to MEAN = Universe, but I am saying the term "universe" is never used in the game, it does not exist, the galaxies are not connected in that regard in any way whatsoever. Make of that what you will."

"There is no such thing as a Universe in this game. What you see representing the "Center" is a Galaxy."

It goes on an on, it seems a lot of people think of it the same way as you but the person playing the leak cannot find any indication of a universe. Another point, the first thing I did after reading your comments was go to Hello Games and Sean Murray's twitters, and neither has responded.

So we won't know for sure until the masses get their hands on it, but I just wanted to point out that while you and many others, myself included, interpreted the game "world" as one big universe the person playing the leak is not seeing it in the game.

@hystavito: No because as you get nearer the centre of the universe the galaxies become weirder, as Shaun said. This implies you have to travel through many weirder and weirder galaxies to get to the centre of the universe! I agree that one galaxy will be at the centre and that black hole will be the universes black hole rather than a link to just another galaxy, like all the other galaxies.

@sammax: The most likely scenario is that he did actually reach the end game but they used the incorrect term here. There is no grand conspiracy lie. I hope you aren't too disappointed when you get your hands on the game for yourself.

@straightcur: No, because he said himself he had reached the centre of the galaxy he started in. Then some idiot on You Tube said he's completed the game because of that, and that lie has been copied over and over rather than people doing actual research!

It's all mute now, because No man's Sky is now going to sell 1,000's and 1,000's of copies less because of this lie - and that's a crime for all the hard work put into it!

@sammax: I hope you have the courage to come back and post the truth after the game releases and you experience it for yourself. It's unfortunate when people get so caught up in the hype that they ignore anything that contradicts their hopes.

@straightcur: I will and I will ask Hello Games and Sony to do the same, as everything I have said is what Shaun, Hello games or Sony have said in trailers, interviews, presentations, etc!

@sammax: doesn't it generate a new universe on each new game?

@00J: Nope... It's procedural, but it is all the same for everyone... Everytime..
So people can explore planets that have already been discoverd. It probably places you in random spots throughout the universe though...

@edussz: We all start in a different part of the same "starter" galaxy. This might actually be the best chance of meeting another player, as for a couple of days if 10 million buy this game, they'll all be in that first galaxy!

@sammax: We still don't know what "meeting" another player will look like or what it will mean in this game. Several weeks ago Hello Games talked about it, but it was still confusing, something like they would have to be very close to you, and they described it as being similar to a mp lobby, I didn't really understand it. What did seem much more clear is that it will not be like an MMO, you will not see player ships and people with tags and such, it sounded like you won't actually "see" other players at all.

@hystavito: I agree with you actually, but I am saying if you can meet another player it will be most likely in the first galaxy where all purchasers of the game have started in on the same release day!

Always a pleasure to see you Jess :-) I also liked the way you said Outlast, very lovely accent :-)

I can't wait for No Man's Sky. My Pre-Order is patiently waiting in my Steam Library and i'm patiently waiting with a constant smile whenever I see small clips like the one shown in this news video :-)

I will not watch ANY leaked footage and will avoid reading too much too. I want a nice surprise when It releases on August 12th :-)
