GS News - New Witcher 3 Playable Character; Halo To Go For 30 Years?

Whys is anyone following destiny's footsteps? I love halo, but this makes me not want to purchase anything in the future. But marvel, comics books, and super heros have been around for years, so I can see it going for ages.

Two of Microsoft's exclusives (Gears and Halo) have formulas they are well beyond stale. Instead of riding them for decades they really need to get some new IP's going.

Hey just wanted to leave some constructive criticism about Gamespot News. I used to come here every week day but find myself visiting less and less because it seems that most news is just a glorified video game infomercial. Last year it seemed like you covered more varied and interesting topics like that one guy who bought a picture of an xbox one instead of an actually xbox one. I want more that type of news and less news about when a new game is coming out. Thanks for all of you hard works Jess!

I don't see why Halo can't go on for another 30 years. The Halo universe is like the Star War universe, they don't have to keep relying on Master Chief and could branch out into the "extended universe" sometime in the future, or maybe take a hiatus and bring it back for the next generation again similar to Star Wars. The biggest hurdle is whether the game industry as we know it today will be around, that's something I'm much less sure about, what with the direction it seems to heading of late.

you left out the most important thing in the DmC trailer, fans don't give a damn if its 60 fps or 1080p, it was all about the old Dante skin, they do this as fanservice cause every one of them was pizzed about teeny hipster Dante :)

Halo for 30years?.. sure as long as its on PC too. :P

A few more decades of Halo it's ok with me, I don't see the problem. It's MS's pet like Mario it's to Nintendo, so I don't see why it should go away.

I'm happy that they're going to have more women characters in Halo. I hate males. Just playing, maybe. I love seeing a woman in charge of the franchise/studio. I'm sure Jen Taylor, the voice of Cortana, is happy since she says she. often has a hard time finding other roles because she's stereotyped as Cortana.

Maybe Jess will be in Halo.

Oh joy, the two worst DMC games are coming to next gen. That's just what I want, Not the first two which were masterpieces.

Since Halo wars, there has been a Halo release every year...they have quietly annualized the series, AND they want to keep at it for 30 years? Damn, way to ruin a franchise

343 Studio wouldn't be able to release games like the Master Chief Collection if they were not able to patch them. Maybe they should go to Blu-Ray discs/memory sticks/cartridges for single-player games. I think game devs would change their strategy for the better. Game quality would improve at least 10 fold, since game releases would be final.

I just bought DMC for PS3 last month :( right before it stopped working. Wish they had released this little announcement a little earlier. Cool stuff about Witcher, as long as they keep it interesting.

I know that it could be hard to you, but Ciri's name should be pronounced TSEE-ree (CAPS = stressed syllable). Also 'R' in the middle is a hard one, similar to "Mordor". Most of all: she's not SEE-ree. I hope you will learn that just as you learnt that Geralt is not Jeralt. Thank you Jess.
