This tournament was fantastic, just watched Tom McShea completely obliterate all competitors in his "self-proclaimed" favourite game of all-times. :P This certainly reminds me of the UFC 2009 Undisputed Tournament the site had, a couple years ago. Gamespot needs such tournaments more often! Monthly, perhaps? :D
The lack of recognition and aknowledgement of this game is something i'll never understand. It was earth-shattering when it came out with true 3d courses and incredible split screen head to head racing. It should be legendary in the world of gaming. It also stands the test of time and is still an absolute joy to play with excellent controls. If they release this as a downloadable game with online play for the wii U it could be a console seller, the best game of the next gen! :) BRING BACK SUPER MARIO KART!!
You can tell the guy who play Toad on Rainbow Road is new to Super Mario Kart, if only he knew that you can also leave a green koopa shell behind to surprise rival on the rear.
Seriously, did they just randomly choose people off of the street who never played it on the SNES? No boost starts? No tricks using items? Anybody who misses the feather trick on the first ghost track, then misuses the mushroom on the same track is a terrible tragedy.
It looked like whoever was controlling koopa threw the bowser level race to make sure that there were 3 races....i've never seen anybody hit so many obstacles on one level lol .... hmmm...
Best Mario Kart by a country mile and one of the finest and most competitive head to head experiences ever made. Why there isn't an online version of this game defies logic. Some seriously bad gaming going on here, this game requires skill which is why Nintendo dumbed it down to appeal to the masses. Requires skill but is supremely playable when mastered.
Meh... This game was good back in the golden days of the SNES... Now it just looks awkward and it really fails to entertain... It's really a shame that people don't want to play the much better racing games of our days and instead go back and toy around with the gummy corpses of what USED TO BE great games...
Good that they saved SMK for last. That one REALLY sorts out the proper racers. 007 Deathmatch Tournament for the Ages up next! End it with TWINE and GE!
