i wish they would bring more info out on this game. cos based on the info i read, this game would crash and burn. it's my understanding that players in EVE would hire players in DUST to take over planetary infrastructure on the planets in EVE. here is the problem, the planetary interaction is very shallow and not all that engaging to make players want to get their infrastructures back if it gets taken. if this info still stands then CCP should have taken time to develop the PI more before DUST comes out. it would suck to just be sitting in dust waiting for someone in eve to give a contract. does anyone have any more up to date info?
This trailer is so old I'm very curious to see how far the game has come since Oct. 2009! I love the EVE universe and would be very interested in playing a FPS based on their IP.
bring it on already its about time.the only thing i would of like to see it in third person shooter like gears theres no other way to play games on the boxes whether ps3 xbox or wii. go to eve .com and join the fight before dust514 comes out and youll know what its all about!!
RRRRRAAARRRR!! I am so siked to for this game. IDK if I will play it though. Ill be in space, slaying Amarr. T.R.I.A.D FOREVER - DEATH TO AMARR!!! << LINK REMOVED >>
@kiitter2 So ture! And i do hope it takes out or atleast takes alot of peopel from the COD games. Because thay could use that in the way to overhaul the damn game witch thay need. Like having a skill based search like fight someone your own skill not everybody against everybody witch is unfair to new players.
This looks awesome ! But you know what sucks ? People coming in here and saying it's lame because they don't know what it's about. If you haven't played eve, or if you played it and didn't like it then you can close this browser window and go on your merry way to something you like.
This should be very interesting. This type of integration between consoles or even games hasn't been accomplished successfully yet. I'm looking forward to it.
@ Sethbeastalan No, you're not. The way I understand it, you're a mortal mercenary working for one of EVE's big corporations. But in the eventual integration of EVE and Dust 514 you can be hired by capsuleers in EVE to fight for them.
This would be really awesome if it was integrated with some of the new things coming out in Tyrannis. A big question, though, is are you a capsuleer in this game?
@Tommz7070 It's an MMORPG set in space, it's just one server with all the players on it, buuuut the game-play area is absolutely massive, an entire universe basically, can't think of a single game bigger than EVE. This game is going to tie-in to EVE so that... Well, I'm not entirely sure, but I'd assume that ground-wars on the planets of EVE's universe will determine who controlls which planets (and it isn't AI factions you join, they're player owned "Corporations").
i have played EVE for so long and DUST 514 looks so ******* cool but i hope that you can pilot a ship and do ground missions and that you can destroy planets now that would be cool and for u people that have not yet played EVE go play the trial or just watch some videos that how i got to play EVE
but how laggy is the action going to be ? since they're pulling off an FPS MMO ? I love the idea, its just the tech that worries me, will be more serious about this game after some actual real life gameplay videos - over the servers -
an RPG game set in EVE universe? aaaww yea! I hated the MMO game controling the ships and stuff, don't get me wrong i love the universe which it is set in and i LOVE sci-fi. This game i'm gonna follow :D
@icepickiii Those are the in-game graphics, or at least, a pre-render that approximates them closely. They demoed the gameplay at this year's Fanfest, CCP's annual EVE Online convention. The trailer has (I assume) made use of custom animation to make it more dramatic, but again, that's a pretty close approximation. You can find footage on YouTube if you're curious.
