Demon's Souls For The First Time Live

@regix416_basic: He is talking about emulation. And it's not flawless. Many PS3 games can be emulated with RPCS3, but pretty much all of them run worse than PS3 and even crashes or has audio issues.

@regix416_basic: You can get it to work. It takes a pretty good PC tho and most games will have bugs and issues.

Newer quad core i7's, even with massive overclock, can't run Persona 5 smoothly. If you are lucky you will see 15-20 fps, with stutter and huge fps dips at times. Gamebreaking bad performance in most emulated games.

There's some areas in the games that run decent (typical these will be recorded for YouTube video's) while other areas are unplayable or close.

Emulation is rarely flawless.

@deviltaz35: I actually played it on PS3. It truly is an amazing game.

It isn't quite ready on the pc yet. But I can't wait.

I just remember getting killed in Demon's in tight corridors b/c my slash attack hit the wall - which was not really an issue in any of the following games - you could just magically swing right through.

I never really dealt with world tendency. The only part I never figured out a fairly simple solution for was the dual gargoyles - hard as nails every play through. :)

Biggest difference between Demon's and DSI and II, was that your best bet for Demon's was a jack of all trades build IMO, as the "best solution" varied - magic, ranged, fire, sharp, blunt, etc. With DSI and II your best PVE build was "smashthar" (str build + jump smash attack) - hands down the best solution for essentially every situation (again - IMO). If you went with any other build, the solution was: summon Smashthar.

By the time we get to BB and DSIII, the best solution became: summon help, spam the "o" button, as it was too tedious to get to the boss and get killed 40 times trying to figure out when the .3 second stun windows were.

The writing was on the wall when the reviews for Demon's Souls came out and everyone was talking about how difficult it was. I think From Software ran with this and focused on PVP and making the series really hard, as opposed to focusing on interesting enemies and solution based PVE scenarios of Demon's Souls.

@bfa1509: I have to agree with you regarding the combat because Demons' Souls was top notch. Other games added stuff, but I felt like the newer games over complicated an already great system.
