COD: Warzone - 11 Things That Need To Change

Call Of Duty: Warzone is a great battle royale that still has a lot to learn from games like Apex Legends and Fortnite

Call Of Duty: Warzone, Infinity Ward’s battle royale shooter, released in March of 2020 and is entering season 5 in August with some unconfirmed map altering events. This year Activision is also expected to publish a Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War title which is being developed by Treyarch. It’s unclear at this stage if Cold War’s multiplayer will tie into Warzone directly, but it would make sense for Cold War items to turn up in Warzone.

Ahead of season 5, this video takes a look at eleven changes that could be made to the game right now during season 4. Some of these changes include a better drop system, expanded communication ping wheel, improved armor mechanics, better climbing system, balancing, and major map changes and events. Warzone has teased in-game events most notably when players discovered phones ringing around the map that allowed them to solve a puzzle and enter Bunker 11. Inside they found a blood-covered room where nuclear weapons appeared to have been stolen. The missing warhead later turned up in another bunker on top of a ballistic missile. Fan-favorite Captain Price arrived in season 4 with his re-formed task force 141 to handle the problem. As of yet, nothing else has happened.

Warzone is one of the many cross-progression multiplayer modes in Call Of Duty: Modern warfare. Warzone has also experimented with many limited timed variations including increasing the player count to 200 and a mode where players fight over juggernaut suits. Modern Warfare is currently out for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Warzone is also available standalone and free-to-play.

The two best BR games are still PUBG because of the pace and skill required and Nuclear Winter because of the nearly perfect weapons and armor balance.

@b-u-r-r-o-w-s: I think the problem may be in crossplay itself. I noticed that playing TDM, I get between 15-25 kills per game in avg.

Flip on Cross Play, face PC users and either Mouse and Keyboard is MUCH, MUCH faster than controller, or auto aiming is a real problem.

My kill AVG drops to 8-12 in those games.

@tlpina: I like the fact that we are using crossplay but PC hackers are ruining the game for me.

@b-u-r-r-o-w-s: It's easy to say that about any online game, but every time a company tries to put software in to fight it they get boycotted because it's too intrusive. The problem is that to truly combat cheating in these games, it has to be intrusive. The only thing that will help is when ultra fast internet is the norm and these games are streamed instead of running from personal hardware.

Haven’t watched the video but the main thing I would change is to split up Warzone, SP campaign and normal MP modes so we don’t have to face far too regular 30-60gb updates and 180gb installs.

Never played Warzone, finished the SP, yet the game still takes up massive amounts of space on my sdd and I don’t want to hammer my internet every time I try to play the standard mp.

@nomadski69: COD multiplayer should just be a FTP online service with a cosmetics store and the single player COD's should be expanded in scope and release less frequently. Maybe the single player game purchase adds some unique MP content to the service or something along those lines.

@jeremyalexander: But they key point I'm making is the three should be 3 installable products on PC. just like all previous CoD releases on Steam were SP + MP (seperate) so one could install and uninstall either as it pleased.

To have all three modes (plus Special Ops) as one entity has just been a giant cluster**** for PC gamers.
