Battlefield 5 Has Surprisingly Great Skiing In Single Player

Battlefield 5's campaign called War Stories takes us to Norway in order to stop a secret German super-weapon using our sick skiing skills. Captured on PC.

Battlefield V brings back the War Stories single-player campaign from Battlefield 1. GameSpot recently had the opportunity to play a few of these chapters, and one of them, Nordlys, involves some skiing.

Set in 1943 Norway during the German occupation, Nordlys follows a young resistance fighter attempting to break into a Nazi facility to save her mother. Because it takes place in the mountains, the woman you play as utilises skis to zip down the mountain and into enemy territory.

The skiing in Battlefield V is actually really good. Check out our new gameplay video above to see skiing in action.

The other War Stories in Battlefield V are Under No Flag, Tirailleur, and The Last Tiger. There is also a prologue that serves as an introduction. The campaigns are of the anthology variety, and they do not connect (apart from taking place in WWII), so you can play them in any order you want.

Battlefield V launches on November 20 for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, but you can start playing early if you're an EA Access member on Xbox One.
