Yes please play real guitar. When i was in high school one day at lunch I was telling my buddy that I was learning stricken on my guitar. And right then someone across from me just jumped up and said omg I can play that on expert....wtf
Definitely agree with Flower, what a beautiful game as well as end credits, don't find it pretentious at all just innovative. Journey's end credits aren't interactive but the whole freakin' game is so beautiful that the same goes for the credits. Can't wait to see what thatgamecompany does next.
the song on portal makes it the best end credits ever?!? thats stupid. that song is in either band hero or rock band...i guess that makes it the best game ever?
Damn, I forgot about The Warriors credits! ALso very fun game, had alot of fun with it, in fact I think i'll set my Xbox and play the game again. Long live R* !
Portal and Vanquish are really the best!! I have no patience at all to just sit and wait all those names to pass by!! Until today I have no idea on what happens on Metal Gear Solid 4 (wihich is a great game) during the credits...as if I have not watched enough animations during the game!! :D
Hate to go all fanboy here, but Final Fantasy 8...best credits ever. The camcorder sequence? So perfect, so poignant. Better than anything listed here, hands down.
How did Mark know I scratch my balls during the end credits? Worried. Will spend the rest of the day destroying my living room, looking for hidden cameras.
Portal was funny and 'catchy' but I really like the credits for GTA games especially San Andreas and IV, it flies over and through the Cities with music playing.
Anyone else remember the Lost Planet Extreme Condition credit sequence where you could fly Wayne's advanced mech suit to kill 300 akrid scaling in size before time runs out?
I would vote for Devil May Cry 4 over 3. I thought it was very cool that you had to protect Kyrie during the credits for 90 seconds to unlock the true ending. I feel like there was a missed opportunity by Gamespot here to end this video with some very long and boring credits... or perhaps just Peter Molyneux stroking his cat as the credits roll by. And as everyone else has said: No Snake Eater? For shame.
Interesting article. I wish more devs put a bit more thought into the end credit sequences. Personally I liked the end credits for Call Of Duty (the first one).
I always liked the GTA credits, just showing clips of the living virtual city as it goes on. It's kindof neat being able to see the city just live on its own without your interference or input.
The Plants vs Zombies "Zombies on the lawn" song is awesome and the fan video? on Youtube is just as awesome..... The Portal Ending was very memorable, you beat the game and you aren't rewarded with cake or the secrets of making great cake but the best song in gaming history....well next to MGS3 - Snake Eater that is..... My favorite interactive ending was for The Warriors.... Before Dante did it The Warriors let you pummel endless enemies as the credits rolled.....pretty awesome end to a brawler if you ask me....
i actually saw portal name popping even be4 runing this video .. i still remember first time beating the game .. the song just got me stuck in my chair :D :D
Madworld's ending credits were pretty entertaining... until they reached halfway, that is. The credits from No More Heroes 2 were pretty cool too. You know that special atmosphere that surrounds you when you're returning home after a long trip at night while listening to some calm songs on the radio? NMH 2's credits create a similar atmosphere.
How about intro credits? Blood Stone was one of the best intro credits sequences I ever seen. As far as end credits, Turrican 1 or 2 will always hold a solid place in my heart, mainly for the incredible music. Silent Hill also had very cool end credits with the outtakes.
